Company claims in context

From PHPBiotech.wiki, a sourced reference on PHP Biotech, a preclinical oncology company

Short answer: PHP Biotech’s website makes several claims that public records only partly support: it calls PHP53-nb “patented” although its published applications are pending, three biographies on its website call the company “clinical-stage” although no trial is registered, and its animal and receptor findings have not been published in journals.[1][2][3][4][5]

Disclosure: PHPBiotech.wiki is a reference compiled from public sources. It is not the official website of PHP Biotech International Inc.; it is produced by a marketing agency that works for PHP Biotech. It is not written or reviewed by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration or any other regulator, by the journal that published the company’s research, or by any patent office. Nothing on this site is medical advice. PHP53-nb is an investigational, preclinical product: it is not approved for any use and is not available to patients. Facts are cited to public registries, PubMed, patent records, archived web pages, press releases and the company’s own website. See the editorial policy.

Claims and what public sources show
What the company saysWhat sources showStatus
“Restores p53’s functional pathway”, with the footnote “*In model systems”[1]The 2024 paper reports p53-related effects of the 3-NAntC peptide in cancer cell lines; PHP53-nb itself has not been tested in people.[6][4]Company statement limited to model systems
“PHP53-nb is a patented nanobody”; “patented, defined insertion sites”[1][7]Two published U.S. applications, both pending; no granted patent found.[2][3]Not confirmed as granted
“Four U.S. patent applications”[8][9]Two applications are published; others, if filed, are not yet public.[2][3]Partly confirmed (2 of 4)
“Clinical-stage” (three biographies on the company website)[5][10][11]No study on ClinicalTrials.gov; the company’s science page says preclinical studies end in 2026 and trials are hoped for in 2027.[4][12]Not supported; the company is preclinical
Molecular size ~17 kDa[7]The January 2026 website said ~14 kDa; the science page also says “~17 kB”.[13][12]Inconsistent figures
uPAR identified as the entry receptor[14]Announced in a press release; no peer-reviewed publication found.[6]Company announcement; not peer-reviewed
Zebrafish safety margin (malformations only at 20× IC50); mouse stability up to 24 hours[12]No peer-reviewed publication of PHP53-nb animal data found.[6]Company data; not peer-reviewed
Yields raised from 5 mg/L to 693 mg/L[7]No outside source.Company figure; not verified

Has the company reached clinical trials, as some biographies suggest?

No. Biographies of the chief executive, the chief financial officer and Oswaldo Bighetti Neto use the term “clinical-stage”.[5][10][11] ClinicalTrials.gov lists no study of the company’s products, and the company’s own science page describes preclinical work with clinical trials hoped for in 2027.[4][12] See Development stage.

Is PHP53-nb patented?

The company’s home page calls PHP53-nb “a patented nanobody”.[1] The two published U.S. applications assigned to the company were listed as pending on 4 October 2026, and no granted patent was found.[2][3] “Patented” may refer to filed applications; this wiki uses “patent application”.

How strong is the evidence so far?

The only peer-reviewed study found tested the 3-NAntC peptide alone in cell lines and zebrafish, was written by company employees and was funded by the company.[6] The company’s own posts state that all results described to date come from model systems and preclinical research.[8] Laboratory and animal results often do not carry over to people, which is why clinical trials are required before any approval.

What does the company say about its own statements?

The company’s website footer says it contains only summary information and that its forward-looking statements, targets and estimates are illustrative and involve known and unknown risks.[1]
